Wall of windows that will be behind the bed. We're making custom curtains & curtain rods. - - - The window and door trim in this whole room was horrible. Peeling paint, rotten wood, splintering, etc. It really should have been replaced, but we've found a patch method that works great for salvaging old trim. We've tried scraping, sanding, and chemicals, among other things, but the best solution is Elmer's Wood Filler. We've given up on stained wood trim, and decided on all white, which actually makes the rooms look cleaner and much larger anyway. - Clean the trim, then apply wood filler directly with your hands (like sculpting with clay) over all paint chips, rotten spots and other blemishes, wait 12-24 hours, then sand smooth and paint.
